Coke electric locomotives (CEL)

    This is the special technological vehicle of the local application at the coke end of the battery with reverse movement of the original cars for transportation of hot coke in various ways (dry/wet) of coke quenching on the standard track of 1524 mm (1435 mm, 1676 mm).

   Energy supply: standard (electric drive), process, pneumatic, hydraulic (optional).

   Control: power operated motor controllers, frequency transducers, software controllers.

   Modes: manual, semi-automatic by operation groups.

   Maintenance cycle time, s - 650 seconds.

   Performance, yield/h - 7.

   Running gear suspension: spring, spring steel (optional)

   Maximum travel speed km/h - 25.

   Brake system – air, drum.

   Mass-dimensional specifications (high, low, symmetrical, left, right from the cabin side, video control devices, climate control system, and so on) can be updated based on individual orders.

   The standard cladding of body part and cab, piping is made of stainless steel.

Cars for transportation of hot (10501100 ºC) coke (VKT; VRK)


   Original intrashop trailed electric locomotive rolling stock.

   A) For the wet method of coke quenching, “VKT” is a box of stainless steel with a steeply tilted bottom (28 º) for gathering water, lined inside and along the strike with heat-resistant slabs (cast iron or steel). It is equipped with facade opening gates (from the pneumatic or hydraulic system). It is installed (on the point supports) on the supporting longitudinal frame with running wheel pairs (2-; 3-axial) of railway type carts with spring shock absorbers (or original enhanced).

   Pneumatic brake system (controlled from the locomotive) - attachable brake shoes.

   The lever-mechanical drive of body gate opening - pneumatic or hydraulic cylinders on the gear shafts.

   Mass-dimensional specifications (depending on the body capacity):

  • to 13 m3 ~ 60 t (Vk=21.6);
  • 19 m3 ~ 76 t (Vk=30.9);
  • 23 m3 ~ 63 t (Vk=30.0 - 32.3);
  • 25 m3 ~ 110 t (Vk=41.6);
  • 31 m3 ~ 150 t (Vk=51.0);

   Length (along the axes of automatic couplers) – 16.82 to 18.75 m.

   Width (on the track) – 4.22 to 6.00 m.

   Height (along the gate facade) – 4.175 to 5.4 m.

   B) For the dry method of coke quenching (VRK), the coke is received in the “parking”

  • 2- or 3-component suite of modules of promptly-dismantling (by applied technology) option in combinations:
  • B1 carriage (with vertical guides) and body with bottom opening gates;
  • B2 carriage + mobile platform (with vertical guides) + body with bottom opening gates;

   Body, frame-type welded box, lined inside with heat-resistant slabs (cast iron or steel) equipped with lateral running rollers on vertical walls, vertical rods, controlling the position of bottom gates by technological positions.

  Open on top for loading, bottom-closed with hinge pair of gates, opening under the weight of coke and controlled by rods in working positions “reception-transportation-unloading”.

  The carriage is a welded frame on rigid running carts (for stable connections on locations of transhipment from the body) with 2-3 wheel pairs.

  It has a mobile platform, lattice double-beam slab with running and side rollers, vertical guides for the body.

  Mass-dimensional specifications (depending on the body capacity) for B1 and B2 options.

  • At 54.5 m3 from 47 to 60 t – (V to 32.3);
  • at 77.5 m3 from 59 to 72 t – (V to 41.6);
  • at 95 m3 from 74 to 89 t – (V to 51.0);
  • Length (along the axes of automatic carriage coupler) – 11.2 to 12.9 m.
  • Width (on the track) – 5.2 to 5.5 m.
  • Length (by the body top) – 4.63 to 5.3 m.
